PASTRIES
… are the merchant class. Ranging from wealthy aristocrats to modest shopkeepers, pastries preside over the delicate commercial dealings of the Kingdom. The most affluent of the pastries, such as Baklava, are known for their sophisticated tastes and may only be found in the most exclusive locales. These denizens of the upper crust are well traveled and carry themselves with an air of superiority that often inspires a mixture of resentment and envy among the Kingdom’s other desserts. The pastry merchants of lesser means, such as Apple Turnovers or Bearclaws, are more humble and can be found maintaining the many storefronts of the Kingdom’s markets.
